The Cerro Pan de Azúcar has a height of 423 mts. and
it is the highest point of the hills that approach the coast
in the department of Maldonado. In the top a armed cement
cross is located, of 35 mts. of height, devised by Juán
Zorrilla de San Martín in 1933. In slopes of the Pan
de Azúcar a zoological activity is developed that was
originated in 1980 with the creation of the Station of Young
of Native Fauna on the part of Municipal Intendance of Maldonado.

The Valley of the Lunarejo stream is declared reserve of flora
and fauna. A morning of the month of September can be the
ideal moment to make the stroll, being a whole land the most
