Who please of the contact with the nature, in atmospheres not yet modified by the hand of the man, they have in this one proposal the option to go into in the native vegetation visiting Gruta de los Cuervos -Grotto of the Crows- and the Ferns. These are located so single to 11,200 and 14,500 kilometers of the city of Tacuarembó.

The calls Grottos in fact beautiful broken are surrounded by native forest. The passage, that leaves from the departmental capital, combines the stroll in car with the route on foot in grottos, reason why it is recommended to use comfortable and safe footwear. In order to go to grottos, part of the Av. Maria Esther Castillón in the direction of the northwest, that later happens to be called Paul Harris. There two bridges are crossed and in the first entrance Gutiérrez bends towards the left by the Av. Ruiz. From this incredible place it is possible to be observed hundreds of dispersed ferns in the ground, protected by the dark of the atmosphere. The nature seems to be intact, reason why it is due to be very careful not to damage the vegetation nor to soil the ground.

He is more than pleasant to remain minutes there, without moving and in silence, leaving itself to enchant by the magic of the route. The footpath continues towards the left and at certain moment an ascent
begins. Being a steep section it is recommended to walk without haste. As it is promoted, the air becomes drier and the light appears between the trees. Throughout the passage is listened to the song of
different birds; many of them next to their nests can even be seen.

The route culminates once in open field. The house by hand sees left and the way in the direction of Tacuarembó the front. Surely one will feel enchanted by the magic of the nature. Once of return in the way and return towards Tacuarembó it is possible to touch the enter the Gruta de los Helechos -Grotto of the Ferns- that is 3 kilometers more ahead. The footpath continues in the direction of Small the Tacuarembó stream until finding Gruta de los Helechos.
