It

protected natural area of Uruguay from 1986. One is in the Treinta

of 3250 mts. considers here, by the Quebrada de los Cuervos -Gorge

From the city of Treinta y Tres enter the national route number
8 (Brigadier Juan Antonio Lavalleja) in the direction of Melo.
Almost a kilometer after crossing the Arroyo Paso de la Arena
-stream Passage of the Sand-, in kilometer 306, a poster indicates,
towards the left, the beginning of the local road that goes to
the Quebrada de los Cuervos. There, it is entered this 23,2 ballast
way and Kms. advanced more, is located the access to the gorge.
Through the sinuosities of the way a panoramic one of blades is
appraised excellent, native vegetation, rocky outcrops and birds
in its natural habitat. Once in the access to the gorge of the

a great unevenness that comprises of the scenic beauty of the

to and they see vultures flying over the zone. Although the name
of the gorge makes reference to the crow, this species belongs
to the North hemisphere, and it is not in these latitudes. What
they are seen are vultures, or of red black head or. In the gorge
the population of these birds is considered around 100 units,
number elevated enough for our country. Also pindó palms
stand out in the landscape.
The long walk continues towards the right, where it is due to
descend by rocks, with the help of a cord. The next shutdown is
located to 200 meters of distance. One is due to be careful when
advancing and the cord must be always by hand right of the traveller.
To the few meters, one svelte palm is located across of the cord
and the sound of the water is accentuated more and more. When
culminating the descent, the traveller is located in shutdown
2 denominated Subtropical Microclimate, 100 mts. under the point
to begin with. In this one place they are more of 70 % of the
vegetal native species of the country. The climate is very humid
what the great reproduction of trees, shrubs allows and incredible
ferns that the traveller will appreciate to both sides of the
footpath. This it is a good place to stop by minutes and to appreciate
